Hand Embroidery

Our workrooms, located in Williamsburg & Europe, provide professional hand embroidery in the Old World tradition. Using these traditional techniques, beautiful heirloom quality linens are exclusively cre ated for your fine linen needs and desires.

Our knowledge in the techniques of embroidery are offered here to also help restore or repair a damaged cloth or to embellish an heirloom treasure with a family monogram or personalized initils.

Send us your less than perfect linens, and we will help you create or restore your good linen to an excellent condition.

Repairs & Restoration:

The specialists in the Williamsburg workrooms have the knowledge and experience to repair and restore most linen. Repairs include patching, darning, and stain removing. Restoration includes embroidering over holes, reworking needlelace, replacing lace trims, repairing old embroidery and hemstitching. We can confidently restore most good linen to excellent condition once again.

Laundering and Ironing:

All fine linen is hand-washed employing old-fashioned laundry methods for stain removal and yellowing which includes hand ironing & pressing services. We can also provide acid free boxing & wrapping for proper storage of old & antique linen & lace.

By Appointment or Mail:

Services are available by appointment. An examination of the linen is necessary before a price quote can be given. All prices will be quoted during the time of the appointment.

Mail service is available by mailing your linen to the workrooms. Your linen will be examined and you will receive a telephone consultation. If the method and price are agreeable, a written quotation will be faxed or mailed to you after the consultation. If you choose not to proceed, your package will be returned to you promptly by UPS. Linen services will be billed to you by credit card.
